Job summary

GALLS, LLC seeks a seamstress/tailor to read customer needs, take measurements, and perform alterations including hems, waist adjustments, patches, and name strips. You will operate a heat press and industrial sewing machines, meeting production deadlines to support our uniforms business.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, alterations experience preferred (training provided), and ability to read English work instructions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous alterations experience preferred; training provided.
• Experience with industrial sewing machines preferred; training provided.
• Able to read work instructions in English.
• Detail-oriented with strong quality focus.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods, bend, lift.

Responsibilities

• Read and accurately identify customer needs per work instructions.
• Take measurements and mark garments for alterations.
• Operate a heat press safely and efficiently.
• Perform sewing, alterations, and embellishments (patches, name strips, striping).
• Operate industrial sewing machines and meet deadlines.
• Other duties as assigned.
