Qualifications

  • Mindestens 1-2 Jahre Erfahrung im Einzelhandel, vorzugsweise in der Bekleidungsbranche.
  • Erfahrung mit POS-Systemen ist von Vorteil.

The Alterations Customer Service Representative (CSR) plays a vital role in the successful operation of the Alterations department and delivering superior customer service. The CSR is responsible for providing an A+ customer experience to David’s Bridal customers and reports to the Store Manager. Responsibilities include welcoming and servicing customers, making appointments, answering phones, pressing garments, and ensuring items are ready for pickups.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Welcome customers warmly over the phone, virtually, and in person; communicate clearly; adapt style to customer needs; resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Manage customer flow using all systems to deliver a five-star experience.
  • Meet all service vows: Prepare, Welcome, Meet Needs & Be There for customers; complete operational checklists; address emotional and practical needs.
  • Provide exceptional service to multiple customers simultaneously; proactively address concerns; escalate issues when necessary.
  • Communicate how alterations enhance the dress for her event, partnering with Alterations.
  • Promote all alterations services and personalization options.
  • Maintain store standards: cleanliness, organization, promotional readiness, and store recovery.
  • Adhere to dress code standards.
  • Greet and escort alterations customers for appointments.
  • Press, steam, and spot clean merchandise; inspect garments for quality before delivery.
  • Build long-term customer relationships to exceed satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Support inventory management: process orders, pickups, and maintain standards.
  • Process transactions accurately at the cash wrap.
  • Seek assistance from the Alterations Manager for unresolved customer issues.
  • Keep the alterations room clean and organized.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Physical Demands:
  • Stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, and move throughout the store.
  • Use hands and arms for tasks; operate POS systems, handle money, steam garments, and perform sewing as needed.
  • Lift/move up to 10 pounds.
  • Use vision and perception to read and operate electronic devices for extended periods.
Education & Credentials:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years retail experience in apparel or specialty store.
  • Helpful: prior sewing experience.
  • Experience with computerized POS systems.
