Job summary

Brobston Group in Palo Alto is seeking an experienced tailor to perform alterations, resizing, and restyling on merchandise sold in Neiman Marcus stores.

You will support fitters by assessing garment fit, alterability, and construction quality while meeting established quality standards; experience in a tailoring operation is preferred. This role requires meticulous sewing skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions and schedules.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a tailoring operation or industrial sewing environment.
• Exposure to a variety of garment styles and fabrics.
• Ability to read English, follow instructions, and perform basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Alter and restyle garments, adjusting seams, shoulders, sleeves, collars, coats, linings, and pockets.
• Operate sewing equipment and inspect work to ensure quality meets standards.

• Alter and restyle garments, including adjusting seams, shoulders, sleeves, collars, coats, linings, and pockets.
• Operate and maintain sewing equipment and inspect completed work to ensure quality meets or exceeds original construction standards.
• Complete assigned alterations and follow written and verbal instructions from supervisors and managers.
