Job summary

Northeast Cleaners is seeking an experienced Alteration Specialist to join our shop in Los Angeles. You will handle clothing alterations and repairs, take accurate measurements, and deliver clean, high-quality finishing that customers can trust.

You will hem garments, adjust sleeves, take in/let out, mark and pin, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining a tidy work area and repeatable results.

Qualifications

• Solid alterations/tailoring experience.
• Strong sewing skills (machine + basic hand sewing).
• Good eye for fit, balance, and clean finishing.

Responsibilities

• Alter and repair garments: hemming, taking in/letting out, sleeve adjustments, zipper work, and basic repairs.
• Take measurements and help customers choose the right fix.
• Mark, pin, and finish garments with a clean, professional look.
• Keep work consistent and on-time, especially for deadlines.
• Check your work before it leaves the shop (fit, stitching, and finish).
• Keep your station organized and tools in good working order.
