Position: ALS Technical Partner (Paramedic) - Flex Per Diem

Location: LVH - Macungie Neighborhood Hospital

Summary

The ALS Technical Partner is a paramedic who assists in providing quality care directly and indirectly to patients throughout their treatment in the Emergency Department. They work collaboratively with the treatment team to deliver professional care, adhering to established policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort. The ALS Technical Partner operates under the supervision of Emergency Department providers or nurses.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Ability to assess needs of acute and chronically ill patients and their families
• Ability to document and communicate information effectively using computer and/or paper documentation tools
• Age-specific competencies in caring for patients across all age groups
• Knowledge of infection control procedures and safety precautions
• Ability to apply advanced knowledge and training to develop and execute care plans and intervene in life-saving procedures
• Current certifications: ACLS, PALS, and Basic Life Support (Pennsylvania)
• PA EMT-P Paramedic or NREMT-Paramedic certification (Pennsylvania) upon hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's Degree
• PHTLS - Prehospital Trauma Life Support (Pennsylvania)
• NREMT-Paramedic (Pennsylvania)

Physical Demands

Ability to lift and carry 40-50 lbs, perform patient transfers, and stand/walk frequently. Activities may include kneeling, bending, squatting, and performing CPR as required.
