Job summary

Biogen, Inc. is offering a 6-month co-op in the Neurology Research Unit, ALS Research Group, from January to June 2027. The role centers on exploratory discovery research into ALS biology, with hands-on work in qPCR, ddPCR, western blot, and protein assays.

You will culture mammalian cells, transduce iPSC-derived neurons, perform imaging and image analysis, and help generate reproducible data for internal presentations. Strong molecular biology training is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong molecular biology background with genomics/proteomics experience.
• Experience with qPCR/ddPCR and protein analysis methods.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.

Responsibilities

• Support discovery-stage ALS research by conducting molecular and cell-based experiments.
• Generate and analyze genomic and proteomic data using qPCR, ddPCR, western blot, and protein-based assays.
• Perform immunostaining, fluorescence microscopy, and quantitative image analysis.
• Culture mammalian cells and transfect/ transduce iPSC-derived neurons and cell lines.
• Document methods and results rigorously and prepare data summaries.
