Job summary

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic is seeking a Paramedic at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby, PA. The role delivers Advanced Life Support care, responds to emergencies, and supports hospital EMS services on site.

Minimum qualifications include PA EMT-paramedic certification, CPR, ACLS and PALS, plus EMT/Paramedic training program graduates. One year of experience is preferred; firefighting/Haz-mat awareness is a plus. Competitive benefits and on-site parking.

Qualifications

• PA EMT-paramedic certification is required.
• Valid driver's license in good standing.
• Current CPR (BCLS) training.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current PALS certification.
• Graduate of PA-approved EMT Training Program.
• Graduate of PA-approved Paramedic Training Program.
• Basic firefighting (optional), EVOC and Haz-mat awareness.
• One year experience as a paramedic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls and render appropriate ALS care.
• Obtain and monitor vital signs for trends.
• Administer CPR and initiate airway/oxygen therapy.
• Control external hemorrhage and apply bandaging.
• Stabilize suspected fractures and attend to emergencies.
• Manage emergency childbirth situations when needed.
• Perform emergency rescues and respond promptly per regulations.
• Initiate IV therapy and obtain blood samples.
• Provide pulmonary ventilation via airway management.
• Prepare and administer medications via IV, IM, SL, SQ, or ETT.
• Monitor cardiac activity and perform defibrillation as needed.
• Perform external pacing and advanced airway procedures.
