Job summary

State Street Alpha’s Professional Services team is seeking an AVP – Conversion Lead to drive data collection, configuration and conversion across the Alpha platform for front and middle office clients.

The role coordinates conversion events, data maps, testing and go-live activities, often across time zones, with weekend and off-hours work as needed, delivering end-to-end readiness for BAU operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant Financial Industry Experience required, preferably Investment Management, Asset Management.
• Experience in implementation of large client onboardings with complex architecture, multiple teams and functionalities.
• Exposure to Charles River or any other front office systems is preferred.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Access skills, as well as Microsoft Project or other project management software experience.
• Solid understanding of Data Warehouses and Databases including SQL.
• High level knowledge or experience in Capital markets including Middle & Back Office, Securities, Bank Loans, IBOR / ABOR, Transaction Mgmt or systems like Eagle, Portia, WSO etc.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement conversion strategies to migrate data from legacy platforms to State Street Alpha/middle office platforms.
• Coordinate and drive conversion planning and testing deliverables to meet milestones.
• Create data maps showing data flow from legacy systems to in-house systems.
• Drive data conversion lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Lead issue resolution and data discrepancy remediation across systems.
• Head conversion events including some weekend activity and off-hours.
• Serve as client-facing lead for conversion activities with clients and internal units.
• Manage multiple processes and act as SME on conversion details.
• Coordinate Damp runs, Dry runs and Dress rehearsals leading to go-live.
• Navigate complex client relationships and manage expectations with stakeholders.
• Drive automation and operating model efficiency initiatives for scalability.

Who we are looking for

State Street Alpha’s Professional Services team is looking for experienced leaders to drive our Data Collection, Configuration and Conversion practice across the Alpha platform. We’re looking for experienced professionals across front and middle office operating models, data migration, outsourcing, business architecture and project management disciplines.

The practice will centralize the collection of data from our clients for implementation onto the Alpha Platform.

The Conversion Managers will work closely with the implementation work streams to align with client testing needs. This will extend across multiple teams and time zones. The team will also be responsible for end to end Operational Readiness across the front the back model and ensure the testing teams .

Overall collection, configuration and conversion activities convers the life span of the conversion event and is a single point of mastering and distribution for clients. This will range from cost estimation, scoping requirements and engaging with client and internal business partners to facilitating data extract set up process, organizing and leading conversion events (dry run, dress rehearsal, go live) and ensuring a smooth transition to BAU working across the different business units. The individual will be expected to coordinate and manage the activities of those involved in the conversion(s) which could be up to 5-10 individuals located in different time zones.

What you will be responsible for:

As AVP – Conversion Lead, you will

• Create and implement conversion strategies to successfully migrate data from legacy platforms into State Street Alpha/middle office platforms.
• Coordinate and drive the deliverables of conversion planning and testing in order to meet the milestones
• Create data maps to show the flow from legacy systems to the in-house system using existing functionality and processes
• Drive the data conversion development lifecycle and methodology including requirements analysis, solution design, client acceptance, timeline creation, implementation, unit testing, deployment tools, and maintenance
• Lead issue resolution and gap closure in terms of data provided or discrepancies in data between legacy presentation and the future state model based on the feedback provided
• Head all conversion events which includes some weekend activity and off hours
• Serve as client facing lead for all conversion related activity with client and internal business units
• Serve as an SME speaking to details as required while managing multiple processes
• Manage Conversion events like Damp runs, Dry runs and Dress rehearsals which leads up to the GO live conversion
• Navigate complex client relationships, build strong business relationships and manage expectations with client stakeholders
• Drive our Automation and Operating Model Efficiency Initiatives in order to achieve scalability and improved resource management

Salary Range:

$80,000 - $140,000 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
