Job Description

The Front Desk Supervisor assists the Front Desk Manager and/or General Manager in providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests, before arrival and during their stay. The role also involves maximizing room revenue and occupancy.

Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of progressive hotel or related experience; High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • College coursework in a related field is helpful.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license for the applicable state.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to evaluate and decide quickly.
  • Ability to work under stress, handle guest disputes, and anticipate needs.
  • Maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
  • Effective problem-solving and information assimilation skills.
  • Ability to understand financial data and perform basic arithmetic.
Responsibilities
  • Provide friendly, service-oriented interactions with guests and staff.
  • Maintain regular attendance and proper grooming standards.
  • Follow safety and operational policies.
  • Manage guest relations, reservations, VIP requests, and communication logs.
  • Ensure proper operation of front desk systems and equipment.
  • Coordinate with other departments and assist in emergency procedures.
  • Oversee check-in/out processes, maximize room revenue, and handle guest inquiries.
  • Train new staff and participate in meetings.
  • Control access to sensitive areas and handle cash securely.
  • Represent the hotel professionally and uphold company standards.
