Job summary

Nationwide is seeking an Asset Liability Management Leader to guide ALM strategies, optimize asset allocation, and manage liquidity and capital risks across Nationwide Financial. You will lead quantitative and qualitative analyses, coordinate with investment, treasury, and risk teams, and ensure regulatory and internal risk compliance.

The role requires strong leadership, more than 10 years in investments or ALM, and deep knowledge of fixed income, derivatives, and insurance products.

Qualifications

• Understands fixed income, equity, alternative, and derivative asset class concepts
• Knowledge of insurance and financial services products
• Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Team oriented and capable under pressure
• Knowledge of capital markets, risk management, and insurance capital frameworks

Responsibilities

• Leads ALM strategy development and performance tracking for Nationwide Financial liabilities.
• Develops hedging strategies to manage balance sheet risks (interest rate exposures, etc.).
• Oversees asset allocation decisions and product line balance sheet optimization.
• Partners with risk, investment, and regulatory teams to ensure compliance and risk controls.
