Job summary

MetalTek International in Pevely, Missouri is seeking a pouring operator to handle molds and ladles according to melt work instructions. The role includes preparing pouring areas, inspecting molds, and maintaining equipment for safe, efficient castings.

Responsibilities cover furnace housekeeping, slag removal, sand shakeout, and adherence to daily schedules and SOPs. Shift premium may apply for second/third shifts.

Qualifications

• Basic math and reading skills required.
• Follows SOPs and daily schedules.

Responsibilities

• Pour molds and perform all responsibilities as per melt work instructions.
• Prepare and inspect pouring areas and molds for pouring.
• Conduct ladle treatments as required by work instructions.
• Ensure ladles receive the required preheat per work instructions.
• Assist in clean up of furnace platforms and removal of scrap and slag around furnaces.
• Perform housekeeping to keep pouring areas neat and safe.
• Maintain pouring equipment.
• Shakeout: hauling sand and pulling castings from areas.
