Job summary

MetalTek International in Missouri (Joachim Township) is seeking a pour operator to support its metal casting operations. You will pour molds, prepare and inspect pouring areas, conduct ladle treatments, ensure preheating, haul sand and casting shakeouts, and help maintain furnaces and equipment per Work Instructions.

This full-time role offers shift premiums and requires basic math and basic reading of SOPs and schedules. MetalTek is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free Workplace.

• Basic Math and reading skills required to understand SOPs and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Pour molds and perform all responsibilities associated with this function per melt work instructions.
• Prepare and inspect pouring areas and molds for pouring.
• Conduct ladle treatments as required by Work Instructions.
• Ensure that the ladles needed for pouring receive the required preheat as defined in work instructions.
• Assist in the clean up of furnace platforms and the removal of scrap and slag build-up under and around furnaces.
• Perform housekeeping functions, as needed, to keep pouring areas in a neat and safe condition.
• Maintain pouring equipment.
• Shakeout functions: hauling sand and pulling castings from areas.
