West Lothian Council is seeking an Allocations Manager to lead the housing allocations team at West Lothian Civic Centre. The role is permanent, 36 hours per week across 52.14 weeks per year, and focuses on delivering a fair, transparent, and legally compliant social housing allocations policy.

You will drive strategic development, operational management and continuous improvement, ensuring statutory duties are met and staff capability grows through strong leadership and partnership working.

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen to lead the housing Allocations Team in West Lothian Council. This is a chance for a skilled and motivated individual to take the lead role in making a difference to the lives of applicants, current tenants and those who are experiencing homelessness.

The Allocations Manager is responsible for leading the strategic development, operational management and continuous improvement of West Lothian Council's housing allocations service. The post ensures the Council fulfils its statutory duties in maintaining the housing register and delivering a fair, transparent and legally compliant social housing allocations policy.

The right candidate will have experience of delivering effective management in a challenging environment of high demand and target led activity.

The post requires someone with strengths in working in partnership and someone who has contributed to designing and delivering services tailored to the needs of applicants/customers.
