Job summary

Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital in Newport, Oregon is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a 13-week assignment. The SLP will evaluate and treat adults with a range of diagnoses in acute and outpatient settings, requiring an Oregon license and ASHA CCC (or CFY) status.

Travel to multiple care sites and a current Healthcare Provider BLS certificate are needed. The position offers a 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule, 5 days a week, with benefits and potential extension depending on performance

Qualifications

• Must hold a current unencumbered Oregon Speech-Language Pathology license.
• Must maintain ASHA CCC or be actively pursuing CFY.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Provider required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with injuries or conditions affecting self-care, mobility, or independence.
• Evaluate and treat patients with difficulties in speech sounds, language, voice, swallowing, or cognition.
• Provide care to adult patients in both acute and outpatient settings.

Pay Rate: $57 - $62/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a SLP for a temporary assignment in Newport, Oregon. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a SLP

• Evaluate and treat patients with injuries or conditions causing decline in self-care, physical mobility, or functional independence
• Evaluate and treat patients experiencing difficulty with speech sounds, language, voice, swallowing, and cognition (memory, attention, and problem solving)
• Provide care to adult patients with a wide variety of diagnoses in both acute and outpatient settings
• Maintain current unencumbered Oregon Speech-Language Pathology license
• Maintain Certificate of Clinical Compliance from the American Speech/Language and Hearing Association, or actively participate in Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
• Travel to multiple points of care as required
• Maintain current Healthcare Provider BLS certification
