Job summary

Serco is seeking an Operational Environment Exercise Planner to support the Joint Staff J-7 in Suffolk, VA, focusing on integrating Allies and Partners to strengthen CJT. This role requires an active TS clearance, U.S. citizenship, and senior joint operational experience.

The candidate will design and plan joint exercises, deliver OE products, and coordinate schedules while travel up to 25% and on-site work in Suffolk, Virginia. A Bachelor’s or Master’s with relevant experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Top Secret clearance or recently held TS with SCI eligibility.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of joint operational experience or Master’s with 4+ years.
• 3+ years on a 3-star/4-star Joint or Service HQ staff or civilian equivalent.
• Knowledge of deploying joint forces and joint operations planning.
• On-site in Suffolk, Virginia.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• Current or ability to obtain a U.S. passport.
• Strong analytical, writing and presentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate with senior military and civilian leaders.
• Familiarity with coalition/multinational environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a functional expert for planning, conceptualizing, and preparing joint and combined exercises with Allies and Partners.
• Provide consulting on strategic, operational and tactical concepts for Allies and Partners.
• Design and plan exercises with training audience reps and other planners.
• Deliver exercise products (Scenario, RTC, CONOP, OE Overview) including Allies & Partners.
• Coordinate and adjust suspense dates based on product development needs.
• Attend planning conferences, IPRs and coordination meetings as required.
• Serve as a syndicate cell member during execution of joint training events globally.
