Job Description:

The Alliance Solution Leader (ASL) will be primarily responsible for providing sales support, solution development leadership, and Go-to-Market (GTM) efforts through the Partner Alliance (Salesforce) to grow Merkle’s services business. The role involves leading Merkle’s relationships for pre-sales and engineering support across Salesforce cloud areas, including Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Analytics Cloud, with an emphasis on Sales, Marketing, Service, and Commerce clouds. You will report to the Chief Growth Architect, Merkle Alliances.

This is a remote role. Employees within 90 minutes of our NY, MI, or IL offices may expect 1 day a week onsite. Travel to client sites and conferences is approximately 25%.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support partner-side selling motions and programs
  • Co-sell and co-develop solutions and GTM collateral with Salesforce
  • Navigate the Salesforce ecosystem effectively
  • Create and run solution demonstrations in client settings
  • Take initiative, be persuasive, and work independently
  • Engage with SVP and C-Level leadership
  • Maintain an active professional network
You will:
  • Develop strong partnerships with Salesforce partner managers to drive sales, solution delivery, and marketing initiatives
  • Support new sales at existing clients and new logos as a subject matter expert in Salesforce
  • Train and support Salesforce Partner Sales Managers
  • Align duties with the sales plan for Merkle services and partner revenue
  • Contribute to the joint GTM narrative with Salesforce
  • Support internal teams in developing and closing new business
  • Participate in go-to-market activities, deal registration, and manage Merkle's virtual presence with partners
  • Advance Merkle’s partnership maturity across various dimensions
  • Help develop alliance partner offerings and strategies
  • Manage Salesforce Power Map and integrate Merkle’s thesis into Salesforce teams
  • Design solutions tailored to client needs, positioning Salesforce solutions strategically
  • Track opportunities in CRM portals to meet performance goals
Outcomes

This role is key in driving wins, strengthening relationships, and evolving solutions at strategic accounts to support the alliance program’s success. Goals include positioning Merkle as a leader in the Salesforce ecosystem, securing funding through MDF, achieving pipeline and revenue targets, increasing alliance maturity, and operating within budgetary guidelines.

Qualifications
  • 5-8 years of professional experience, especially with Salesforce partnerships
  • Experience in large strategic implementations in SI or agency settings
  • Proven ability to navigate Salesforce’s organization and co-sell effectively
  • Experience engaging with clients in new and existing sales scenarios
  • 3-5 years in digital media, marketing, or alliance sales
  • Knowledge of marketing and ad technology
  • Understanding of the digital agency marketplace
  • Strong relationship-building skills within verticals and across organizations
