Job summary

Scoot Education in California seeks dedicated classroom support staff to supervise and assist students across various school settings. You will help maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment and support daily classroom operations under guidance from the lead teacher.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s or related college credits, are bilingual where possible, and have references including a supervisor. This role is non-exempt and pays hourly with state background checks in place.

• Bachelor’s degree, associate’s degree or college credits.
• Three professional references, including at least one from a previous supervisor.
• State & federal background checks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support students in the classroom, playground, or cafeteria.
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment. Encourage student engagement and participation throughout the day.
• Manage classroom routines, behavior, and transitions, following any lesson plans left by the teacher.
• Communicate clearly with school staff.
• Leave brief notes or feedback for the returning teacher.

Daily Pay Range:

Pay will vary for day-to-day assignments and is typically more for long-term placements. Pay varies by certification, school, and assignment.

Role Requirements:
