Qualifications

As a Cross-Functional Representative, you'll provide general customer service, checking on the front end, and work across multiple departments in packaging, stocking, rotation, production, and sanitation duties.

We are looking for:

What is the work?
Customer Service / Sales / Stocking:

1. Provides excellent customer service; answers customer questions regarding products, takes orders, assists with product selection
2. Uses suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build department sales
3. May make regular product announcements to inform customers
4. Works a flexible schedule to accommodate shifts of different departments
5. Performs duties in multiple departments, to include technical or perishable areas such as bakery, floral, market, etc.
6. Performs stocking and replenishment, product returns and rotation, product selection, service support, inventory accuracy, and additional duties across total Store, in multiple departments
7. Builds, stocks, and maintains displays and fixtures
8. Assists with inventory control; loads, unloads, and moves product
9. Slices, packages, labels, rotates, merchandises, culls, and prices product
10. Gains knowledge of multiple departments; applies understanding of processes / policies
11. Complies with Store and department SOPs, policies, and applicable laws
12. For the Service cross-functional team, works as a Checker when not performing Cross Functional duties

Food Safety / Sanitation:

1. Ensures compliance with departmental / Store SOPs for food safety and sanitation
2. Properly operates and maintains all equipment
3. Cleans / sanitizes sales floor, display cases, prep areas, and equipment

What is your background?

1. Minimum age 18 (mandatory)
2. High school diploma, or equivalent
3. 6+ months of experience in H-E-B Store operations
4. Completion of Company Orientation and Safety Training

Physical Demands:

1. Demonstrate the ability to lift various weights depending on the department, and manage in excess of specified limits.
