Overview

This is a field-based and remote opportunity supporting key accounts in an assigned geography. Novartis cannot offer relocation support for this role; please only apply if the location is accessible for you.

Role Summary

The Territory Account Specialist (TAS) is a sales leader who designs a customized customer experience, acting as the primary point of contact to engage with clients, identify priorities, and leverage resources to improve patient outcomes. The role requires expertise in clinical selling, account management, access navigation, and omni-channel engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop strategic territory plans to increase product demand by addressing the needs of key partners and patients.
  • Encourage clinical discussions to motivate customer advocacy and collaborate with the account team to resolve barriers.
  • Use market insights to manage opportunities and challenges effectively.
  • Conduct planning meetings with stakeholders to address complex issues.
  • Analyze market data to understand local business landscapes and lead virtual and in-person customer interactions.
  • Utilize omni-channel strategies to maximize engagement capabilities.
  • Collaborate with regional and home-office teams to meet customer needs and support access.
  • Provide access support and work with Patient Specialty Services to address customer requirements.
Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree is a plus.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in specialty pharmaceuticals, biotech, or similar sales roles within the last 5 years.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and performance history, with ability to navigate large accounts.
  • Proactive with analytical skills, ethical leadership, and compliance adherence.
  • Reside within the territory or within 50 miles of its border; ability to travel 60-80% with a valid driver’s license.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience with therapeutic groups, disease states, product launches, and market access.
Additional Information

Leveling depends on experience. Driving is an essential function of this role, requiring a valid driver’s license. COVID-19 vaccination policies may apply based on customer-facing roles and local laws.

Salary ranges vary by level, and benefits include bonuses, stock units, medical, and other perks. The role requires initial training, which will be completed remotely in less than 40 hours per week.
