Advanced Specialty Care, P.C. is seeking a full-time Head Nurse to lead the nursing team in our Allergy Department. This hands-on role combines direct patient care with staff supervision and coordination of daily clinical operations.

The ideal candidate will be approachable, dependable, and skilled at collaborating with providers to deliver safe, compassionate patient care while promoting staff development and adherence to clinical policies.

Qualifications

• Current Connecticut nursing license.
• Minimum of five years of allergy nursing experience required.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Prior nursing leadership or staff training experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, organizational, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to lead, educate, and support a clinical team.
• Commitment to patient safety, teamwork, and a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily nursing operations and support efficient clinical workflows.
• Provide direct patient care, including allergy injections, testing, and support for oral immunotherapy.
• Participate in hiring and onboarding clinical staff.
• Supervise, mentor, and train nursing staff, including orientation, ongoing education, and competency assessments.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support staff development.
• Address staff concerns, resolve workplace conflicts, and promote positive working relationships.
• Manage performance concerns and implement corrective action in collaboration with Human Resources and department leadership.
• Promote medication safety through routine audits, education, and follow‑up.
• Collaborate with providers and department leadership to address patient care needs and clinical concerns.
• Maintain clinical policies, protocols, medication inventory, and supplies.
• Respond to clinical emergencies.
• Address patient concerns and support quality improvement, workplace safety, and regulatory compliance.
