Job summary

Schweiger is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant for the Allergy department at our Encinitas office. The role supports providers with allergy testing, immunotherapy, and patient care while maintaining accurate records and patient communication.

Responsibilities include assisting with skin prick tests and spirometry, managing supplies, processing payments, scheduling follow-ups, and covering front desk duties as needed. Must have certified medical assistant credentials and CPR/AED.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant required; allergy practice preferred.
• Medical Assistant Certification required.
• CPR and AED Certifications required.
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check allergy testing equipment at the beginning of each shift and maintain treatment rooms, stocked with supplies.
• Assist the physician in allergy procedures, including skin prick tests, patch tests, spirometry and injections.
• Take payments, book follow-up visits and track inventory used during visits as needed.
• Learn and adhere to new workflows including Klara paperwork and patient messaging.
• Keep the office clean and assist front desk as needed.
