Job summary

Chicago ENT - Advanced Center for Specialty Care is seeking experienced Medical Assistants to support physicians and nurses in an ambulatory ENT care setting across multiple clinics.

The role involves coordinating patient flow, preparing exam rooms, performing vital signs, injections, immunizations, and occasional travel to other locations; schedules are set by the MA Lead and may include early mornings, evenings, or Saturdays up to 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Current CPR Certification required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program preferred.
• Minimum of two years clinical experience preferred.
• Previous surgical experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a high stress, fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Physicians, Mid-Level Practitioners, and RNs with evaluation, management, and treatment of patients in ambulatory care.
• Maintain patient flow and upkeep of exam/treatment rooms; perform basic skills like vital signs and point of care testing.
• Administer injections, immunizations, and OTC meds under physician direction.
• Cross trained across ENT, Sleep, Allergy, Cosmetic, CT, and Triage.
• Available to work scheduled hours and travel between all office locations with the provider.
• Weekly schedule set not to exceed 40 hours; hours between 7AM–7PM; may be 5 days including Mon-Sat.
• Must stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds.

Job description

Medical Assistants will partner with the providers of Chicago ENT to ensure prompt, accurate, and compassionate patient care. Chicago ENT is seeking experienced MA candidates interested in growing their skills in this unique and comprehensive ENT care setting. This role will report to the MA Lead and be required to travel to other clinics.

Salary Range

The salary range for this role is $18-$22hr.

Primary Responsibilities

• The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting Physicians, Mid-Level Practitioners, and Registered Nurses with the evaluation, management, and treatment of patients in an ambulatory care setting.
• The Medical Assistant assumes responsibility for maintaining patient flow, the upkeep of exam and treatment rooms, and performing basic skills such as vital signs and point of care testing.
• The Medical Assistant will administer intramuscular injections, immunizations, and over-the-counter medications under the direction of a Physician.
• The Medical Assistant will be cross trained over time in all specialties and ancillary services including ENT, Sleep, Allergy, Cosmetic, CT, and Triage.
• The Medical Assistant must be available to work scheduled hours travel between all office locations where their assigned provider hosts clinic.
• The MA Lead will assign a weekly schedule not to exceed 40 hours
• The schedule may be between the hours of 7AM to 7PM.
• The schedule may be 5 days including Monday to Saturday.
• The Medical Assistant must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up-to 30 pounds.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position has no supervisory responsibility.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Preferred: Current Medical Assistant Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT.

All employees are required to provide proof of vaccination or exemption.

WAGE

$18-22.00
