Job summary

AllerVie Health is seeking a dedicated nurse to lead our shot room in Homewood or Hoover, AL. The role administers injections, supports immunotherapy, and ensures patient safety under provider supervision.

The ideal candidate holds an active LPN license or MA certification in Alabama, with 1–2 years of outpatient clinical experience and current BLS. Strong communication and EMR skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license or MA certification in Alabama.
• Current BLS certification.
• 1–2 years of clinical experience (outpatient/specialty preferred).
• Injection/immunotherapy/biologics experience a plus.
• Comfortable with EMR documentation.

Responsibilities

• Run the shot room: administer allergy injections, immunotherapy, and biologic medications under provider supervision
• Take vitals and assist with allergy testing (skin testing, spirometry, Niox)
• Monitor patients for reactions post-injection and provide follow-up care
• Document accurately in the EMR
• Educate patients on treatment plans and safety
• Keep the shot room stocked, clean, and compliant (including cold chain management)
