Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s is seeking a Medical Assistant at the Burnet Campus in Cincinnati. This full-time role (FTE 0.9) supports Amb Svc Endocrinology with day shifts, 36 hours per week, and starting pay range $18.75-$22.25 per hour based on experience and equity.

You will perform clinical and administrative duties, assist with procedures, manage patient records, ensure family-centered care, provide education to families, and maintain accurate data entry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a Medical Assisting program AND no direct related experience OR completion of a formal medical services training program OR 1 year of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Patient Care- Provide competent technical and clinical services and flex daily needs based on department policy. Assist care providers with procedures and physical exams. Prepare patients for examination and treatment. Provide care consistent with family-centered care and medical home models.
• Customer Service- Act as a customer advocate and meet needs of patients/families. Respond quickly to parent requests and concerns. Provide education/information to patients/families.
• Collaboration- Work with others and follow directions to resolve problems and achieve goals. Build positive working relationships with peers.
• Data Management- Manage records per department policy. Collect data for forms. Obtain consent and release of information. Maintain patient files and documentation.
• Laboratory Work and Testing- May manage specimens per protocols. Maintain knowledge of routine testing processes and communicate results.
