Job summary

AllerVie Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join its Columbus, GA clinic as a full-time team member. The role supports clinical care teams by taking detailed histories, reconciling medications, and updating electronic medical records with accuracy.

Familiarity with allergy/immunology practices and medications is preferred. You will assist with allergy testing, support diagnostic and treatment procedures, and play a key role in administering immunotherapy.

Qualifications

• Minimum experience working in a medical setting.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program; certification preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR systems and basic medical terminology.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and related software.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs and document accurately in EMR.
• Assist with allergy testing and related procedures.
• Support diagnostic and treatment workflows and immunotherapy administration.
• Keep exam rooms clean, stocked, and ready for patient care.
• Communicate effectively with clinic leadership and staff on needs.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient-centered care.
• Travel to other clinics as needed for staffing.
