Qualifications

• Knowledge of health care field and medical office protocols/procedures.
• HIPAA Privacy and Security rules.
• Knowledge of information that must be conveyed to patients and families.
• Skills in performing medical assistant tasks and in tact/diplomacy in interactions.
• Ability to work in a team-based environment with patient satisfaction as focus.

Responsibilities

• Administer injections (sub-Q, IM, intradermal) and prepare allergy antigen vials.
• Test and treat allergy patients with care.
• Manage allergy testing schedule, benefits verifications, referrals and prior authorizations.
• Maintain allergy supplies and inventories; weekly maintenance of testing equipment.
• Clean/restock exam rooms and ensure equipment is ready for patients.
• Document shot history and patient reactions accurately in charts.
