Job summary

Allergy Partners is seeking a clinical nurse to provide patient-centered care within our Raleigh, NC clinic. Responsibilities include nursing care, vital signs, spirometry, allergy testing, and patient education. Documentation in the electronic medical record and collaboration with physicians are essential.

The role supports business goals of the practice and requires maintaining HIPAA compliance. Licensure in the state (or compact) and at least one year of clinical experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• Current RN/LPN/LV license to practice in the state employed or compact state.
• Minimum one year of work experience in a clinical setting.
• Understanding of OSHA guidelines for ambulatory practices.
• Experience communicating and interacting with physicians.
• Ability to document in the electronic Medical Record; working knowledge of practice management and word processing software.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and escorts them from waiting room; prepares for exam; takes vital signs.
• Provides assistance to physician when requested.
• Performs spirometry and other breathing tests as ordered.
• Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatments; sterilization.
• Performs patient education when appropriate.
• Documents care delivery and patient condition in medical records.
• Facilitates prescriptions as ordered by physician or NP.
• Goes through allergy testing and injections per schedule.
• Monitors patient status for adverse reactions post-injection.
• Maintains emergency equipment, oxygen, crash cart, suction.
