Job summary

Calvarymurrieta is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform a range of building maintenance tasks, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, landscaping, carpentry, and occasional janitorial duties. You will report directly to the Facilities Director and help keep our campus safe and well‑maintained.

The role requires practical problem solving, ability to operate a variety of hand and power tools, and the physical ability to stand, climb, lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Qualifications

• Safety techniques with chemicals, power tools, and equipment.
• Ability to perform lifting and physical tasks in a maintenance environment.
• Capable of operating various hand and power tools used in maintenance.
• Understanding of maintenance, repair, and electrical work principles.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Inspect campus facilities for safety, hazards, and defects.
• Perform minor repairs and troubleshoot light fixtures, switches, and wiring.
• Assist with HVAC maintenance and preventive maintenance programs.
• Complete service tickets promptly and accurately.
• Identify and repair plumbing fixtures and leaks; unclog drains as needed.
• Assist with carpentry and basic repair work around buildings.
• Operate common machinery and tools safely and efficiently.
• Inspect and service door hardware and ensure doors function properly.
• Install outlets and light switches as required.
• Assist with moving supplies and equipment as needed.
