Job summary

Calvary Murrieta is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform a range of building upkeep tasks including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry. The technician reports to the Facilities Director and will work Sunday through Thursday with potential overtime.

Rate of pay is 20.00 per hour. The role requires inspecting facilities, performing minor repairs, and maintaining safety standards while coordinating with staff and students.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of safety techniques and procedures when using chemicals, power tools, hand tools and equipment.
• Ability to operate equipment and perform basic maintenance tasks.
• Understanding of maintenance, repair, and electrical work methods and tools.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral directions.
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Inspect campus buildings, grounds, and systems to ensure safety and proper maintenance.
• Perform minor repairs and troubleshoot lighting, fixtures, and electrical components.
• Assist with HVAC maintenance and preventive maintenance programs.
• Create and complete maintenance work tickets promptly.
• Identify and fix plumbing leaks, unclog drains, and handle basic carpentry repairs.
