JOB DESCRIPTION
Maintenance Technician
The Maintenance Technician ensures that a facility remains in operating form. Daily tasks will vary day-to-day based on what needs attention at the time, but can frequently include repairs, aesthetic work or tending to the facility’s machinery. They will display leadership and great communication skills with a great eye for detail. They will work diligently with exceptional attention to detail and maintain a positive attitude.
Inspect sites regularly to identify problems and necessary maintenance.
Assists in diagnosis and evaluation of equipment malfunctions and failures.
Performs adjustments and repairs independently.
Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work as per forecasted workloads
Performs routine preventative maintenance per verbal or written
Coordinate daily cleaning and maintenance activities.
Oversee all repairs and ensure that work is completed on time.
Maintain all inventory and equipment, and ensure proper storage.
Maintains a clean and safe working environment. Keeps tools and parts organized and in good working condition.
Conduct preventive maintenance work.
General knowledge of safe working practices including Lock-Out /Tag-Out.
Performs these actions with occasional supervision.
Uses a smart phone as a tool to diagnose and document equipment malfunctions and failures.
Uses a smart phone and/or computer to document repairs, requisition materials and repair items.
Conduct follow-ups on all maintenance and repair work.
Conduct safety inspections as scheduled.
Establish strategies to meet workload demands on time.
Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs and other drainage problems
Electrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the building’s electricity
Capable of formulating a bill of materials for necessary repair items.
Perform other duties as assigned by the manager
Travel is not required for this position, but opportunities for learning and development may be outside of the office headquarters
