Job summary

Southern Oregon University is seeking a Temporary Assistant Athletic Instructor (AAI) for All Sports. These appointments are as-needed, part-time, and limited-duration; eligible coaching and instructional support vary by assignment.

The role includes coaching under the head coach, instructing athletes in fundamentals and strategies, assisting with conditioning, scouting, travel logistics, and teaching PE classes (PE 196 and PE 180).

Qualifications

• Three years of coaching/playing experience.
• Experience interacting with a diverse population.

Responsibilities

• Coach-specific team positions under the head coach; instruct athletes on fundamentals, strategy, and techniques.
• Instruct classes in PE 196 Varsity Athletics and PE 180 Varsity Conditioning; prep work includes planning and film evaluation.
• Assist in recruitment strategies, manage an assigned recruiting territory, and perform administrative duties such as game management and travel coordination.
