Job summary

FHE is seeking a welder to join our Fruita, CO facility. The role focuses on welding and fabricating steel trailers and components to client specs, with responsibilities including reading blueprints, maintaining 5S in the work area, and performing welds in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.

The candidate must hold AWS D.1.1 certification (to be completed during the hiring process), be able to read technical drawings, operate welding equipment, and ensure quality workmanship while adhering

Qualifications

• Must be AWS D.1.1 certified (this will be done as part of the Hiring process).
• Able to read and interpret blueprints, welding process specifications and welding symbols.
• Must be able to operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes.

Responsibilities

• Weld components in all positions: flat, vertical or overhead.
• Prepare work according to blueprints and specifications.
• Layout, position, align, and secure parts prior to assembly.
• Monitor welding processes to avoid overheating or distortion.
• Report non-conforming material and follow safety procedures.
• Complete housekeeping and adhere to 5S standards.
• Operate forklifts and overhead crane as needed.
