The Fessenden School in West Newton, MA seeks a 6th Grade Science Teacher for a temporary, full-time 7:30 am–4:30 pm schedule from January 4, 2027 to June 11, 2027. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Ability to create a student-centered classroom that fosters rigor, engagement, and positive relationships.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to connect with boys and families.

Responsibilities

• Teach and Inspire: design engaging science lessons fostering curiosity.
• Ability to teach Earth/Environmental Science, Physical Science, or Biology with hands-on experiments.
• Mentor and advise a small group of students and collaborate with grade team.
