Job summary

The City of Lancaster is seeking a Transportation Provider to safely operate city vehicles and transport participants to City facilities and events. The role also supports Senior Life Center operations, including customer service, registration, meal service, and activity support.

You will drive vans, minibuses, and buses, with responsibilities in safety, recordkeeping, and assisting participants of all ages. Evening, weekend work and inclement weather driving may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License and CDL with Passenger Endorsement required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications must be obtained within three months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional customer service to patrons in person, by telephone, and by email.
• Enter and maintain member information and other required program data.
• Assist with serving daily meals and with cleaning the dining hall and kitchen.
• Safely operate City transportation vehicles, including vans, minibuses, and buses.
• Transport participants to and from City facilities, activities, trips, and approved destinations.
• Maintain transportation records including passenger information, mileage, fuel usage, destinations, and travel purpose.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
