Job summary

Big O Tires Store - Lee's Summit in Missouri is seeking an Alignment Technician to perform brake, front-end, and alignment maintenance per MFA Oil policies. The role emphasizes accurate diagnostics, quality control, and safe operation of vehicles with both automatic and manual transmissions.

The position requires at least one year in lube/tire/service tech, the ability to learn new concepts, computer use, and compliance with PPE rules.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience as a lube/tire/service technician.
• Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials.
• Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
• Ability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability and willingness to comply with PPE regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform brake, front end, and alignment maintenance as well as mechanical work in accordance with all company programs, policies, and procedures
• Maintain the orderly flow of customer service assignment to ensure productivity
• Ensure that Big O's Extra Care Services are extended to all customers
• Properly diagnose and repair customers' vehicles, performing quality control of all shop functions
• Safely operate customer vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions, moving vehicles as needed to, and away from, service areas
• Attend weekly store meetings to review safety issues, store policies, procedures, and product information changes as required
• Assist in organizing, documenting, and processing adjustments and core credits
• Work with store management to ensure the successful accomplishment of budgeted service-related quotas
• Ensure that all appropriate information for completed work is given to the counter personnel for inclusion in final invoicing
• Utilize the company outside purchase program to ensure maximum profitability
• Ensure the consistent execution of the vehicle inspection program
• Promptly and efficiently perform alignments, inspections, and other duties to support store achievement of established service, sales, and productivity goals
• Assist management in the orientation, training, and coaching of new personnel

• Ability and willingness to work with hazardous materials
