Qualifications

• 3+ years of environmental law experience at a sophisticated law firm or government agency
• Experience advising on federal and state environmental laws and regulations (air, water, land)
• Experience handling environmental compliance, regulatory counseling, enforcement actions, permitting, investigations, and litigation
• Experience with environmental agencies, including EPA and state regulators
• Counseling on environmental risk management, due diligence, remediation, permitting, and compliance programs
• Experience supporting environmental aspects of corporate/real estate/project development
• Strong research, drafting, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to independently manage sophisticated matters with significant client interaction
• Excellent academic credentials
• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school required
• Georgia bar admission required or ability to become admitted

Compensation

A premier national law firm is seeking an Environmental Associate Attorney to join its Atlanta office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in advising and representing clients on sophisticated environmental regulatory, enforcement, compliance, and litigation matters across a broad range of industries.

Ideal Background

• 3+ years of environmental law experience gained at a sophisticated law firm or government agency
• Experience advising clients regarding federal and state environmental laws and regulations, including matters involving air, water, and land
• Experience handling environmental compliance, regulatory counseling, enforcement actions, permitting, investigations, and environmental litigation
• Experience working with environmental agencies, including the EPA and state environmental regulatory agencies
• Experience counseling clients regarding environmental risk management, due diligence, remediation, permitting, and compliance programs
• Experience supporting the environmental aspects of corporate transactions, real estate transactions, or project development is preferred
• Strong legal research, drafting, analytical, and communication skills
