Job summary

Delta Solutions and Strategies in Colorado Springs, CO seeks an Algorithms Engineer to analyze new data streams, assess integration needs for an existing system, and review approved algorithms for applicability to new data. You will identify data fields for downstream processing and collaborate with software teams to implement messages into custom software.

The candidate should have 3+ years in algorithms/data analysis, a BS in physics, MATLAB and C#, and a preference for C++.

Qualifications

• Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• Bachelor's degree in physics or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in algorithms development or data analysis.
• Experience analyzing large data sets.
• Familiarity with MATLAB and C#; C++ preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze new data streams and data formats to determine integration requirements.
• Review approved algorithms and identify applicability to new data streams.
• Determine gaps in existing algorithms and articulate needs for new development.
• Identify relevant data fields within new message formats for processing and analysis.
• Perform pattern analysis across messages to assess data quality and reliability.
• Document findings and create interface control documents; collaborate with developers and engineers.
• Support testing and validation of new data stream integrations in operational environments.
• Present findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Perform other tasks as directed.
