Delta Solutions & Strategies seeks a Software Developer with advanced mathematics and physics to maintain and develop software for high-fidelity missile warning training at our Colorado Springs HQ. The role emphasizes solving complex equations, simulation algorithms, and rigorous documentation in a Windows environment.

Requirements include a physics/engineering/math background, 5+ years of software development, and proficiency in C#/.Net, Java, or C++.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in physics, engineering, applied mathematics or related field.
• Advanced knowledge of relevant mathematics and physics.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Experience with C# .Net, Java, or C++.
• Development in a DoD environment preferred.
• Active Secret Security Clearance preferred, Top Secret clearance possible.
• Understanding of missile warning and defense domains is a plus.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in a small team on development and integration of C# applications.
• Design, implement, and sustain simulation algorithms for orbital trajectories.
• Code equations of motion for boost, mid-course, and terminal guidance.
• Model threats and respond to missile warning scenarios.
• Gather requirements, write documentation, present designs, train users.
• Develop, document, test and debug software for Windows environments.
• Participate in full software life cycle with agile practices.
