Job summary

TransMarket Group in Chicago invites you to join as an Algorithmic Trader Intern to learn relative-value arbitrage trading and contribute to automated strategies alongside junior and senior traders.

You will research tick data, build mathematical models, perform time-series analysis, and gain hands-on programming experience in Python, C++, and Java on real-time trading projects onsite.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in a technical field with a graduation date between December 2027 and Spring 2028.
• Minimum major GPA of 3.5/4 or equivalent scale.
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages (C++, Python, Java) preferred.
• Proficiency in Linux scripting is a plus.
• Project or internship experience in data analysis, quantitative modeling or machine learning.

Responsibilities

• Assist and learn all facets of automated trading with Junior and Senior Algorithmic Traders.
• Develop expertise in market microstructure, tick data, and automated trading systems.
• Build and maintain trading quantitative model tools and analytics.
• Learn and master programming languages.
• Develop, code, maintain and support production-quality automated trading strategies.
• Engage in dynamic research projects and internship educational program.
