Job summary

The Princeton Review is hiring High Dosage Tutors for K12 students for daytime, on-campus sessions in Hacienda La Puente, California. This part-time role is ideal for retired or former teachers, or anyone with mathematics expertise seeking in-person tutoring during the school day.

You will tutor groups, meet regularly, and use interactive tools to engage students, while leveraging assessment data to close knowledge gaps.

Qualifications

• Currently reside and eligible to work in the U.S.
• Available to tutor up to 10 hours per week during the school day.
• Able to demonstrate knowledge in Mathematics and Algebra.
• Earned a 4-year degree from an accredited university.
• Teaching certificate not required.
• Candidates with a background as a Math Teacher or Math Tutor in a High School, Middle School or Elementary Schools are preferred

Responsibilities

• Tutor small groups of students in a school setting.
• Meet with the same group of students, multiple times a week at a scheduled time during the regular school day.
• Engage students using manipulatives and online tools such as an interactive whiteboard.
• Utilize student assessment data to determine gaps in knowledge
• Deliver provided standards-aligned digital curriculum
• Provide quality reports to Tutor.com staff, teachers, and school administrators on student achievement
• Collaborate with Instructional Specialists to advance instructional practices and deliver high quality tutoring.
