International Leadership Charter HS seeks an Algebra Teacher to deliver an academically rigorous course aligned with NYSED standards and our charter goals. The role emphasizes strong content knowledge, classroom management, and data-driven instruction within a high-paced charter environment.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree (or is pursuing one) with NYS certification preferred, 1–3 years of teaching experience, and a commitment to professional growth and student success.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or actively pursuing a master's with certification pending.
• NYS Certification preferred: Grades 1-6 or 7-12.
• 1–3 years of teaching experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a high-paced charter school with accountability and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction in an academically rigorous algebra course aligned to NYSED and school goals.
• Maintain high expectations for academics and behavior in line with charter performance benchmarks.
• Create a productive classroom environment that supports learning and engagement.
• Collect and analyze student performance data to guide instruction.
• Foster professional relationships with staff, students and parents.
• Participate in professional development and reflective practice to improve teaching.
