Smith Chason College is seeking a General Education PT Adjunct Faculty for Algebra and Statistics. The role supports on-campus, remote, or hybrid formats as permitted by the Director of Education, reporting to the Program Director.

The candidate will deliver lectures, develop syllabi, and guide students toward academic success. Responsibilities include using current references, maintaining records, and collaborating with the department.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree required and must be in related subject area.
• Minimum 15 semester units in each related subject area; transcript evidence.
• Foreign degrees must be evaluated by NACES and translated.
• Experience with Canvas or LMS; online/remote/hybrid teaching desirable.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and maintain up-to-date syllabi aligned with objectives.
• Deliver lectures, optimize instructional resources, set clear expectations.
• Provide instruction using current references and handbooks.
• Assist students with questions and provide feedback.
• Demonstrate respect and empathy towards students and accommodate needs.
• Provide timely feedback on progress and report performance to Program Director.
• Maintain accurate records and submit grades promptly; follow forms and procedures.
• Adhere to institution policies and codes of conduct; uphold confidentiality.
• Engage in team-based learning, attend faculty meetings, pursue development.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Campus Director and Program Director.
