Job summary

Smith Chason College is seeking a General Education adjunct faculty member to teach Algebra and Statistics across on-campus and remote modalities. The role supports program objectives, develops syllabi, and delivers engaging instruction to diverse students.

Applicants should hold a Master's degree with related coursework and have experience with LMS tools such as Canvas. Hybrid teaching experience is highly desirable and collaboration with the Program Director is expected.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required.
• 15 semester units in each related subject area(s) taught demonstrated on transcripts.
• Degrees from outside the U.S. must be evaluated and translated (NACES).
• Strong technical skills including computer applications, internet research, database management, and analytics.
• Experience with Canvas or related LMS for instruction preferred.
• Online/Hybrid/Remote teaching experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain up-to-date syllabi aligned with objectives and standards.
• Deliver lectures, optimize resources, and set clear expectations.
• Provide instruction using current references and handbooks.
• Assist students with questions and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate records and submit grades promptly.
