Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI).
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.
• (Physical Education teachers) AED and CPR certificates as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that reflect the district curriculum and provide written evidence of prep.
• Plan and use instructional strategies, activities, materials, and technology aligned with TEA guidelines and policies.
• Assess student learning styles and use results to plan instruction.
• Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Plan with staff to determine goals, objectives, and methods per district requirements.
• Plan and assign work to instructional aides and volunteers and oversee completion.
