You Will
Tutor recurring small group(s) of 9th graders on specific High School Algebra topics.
Work with our Math Coach to review and internalize provided lesson plans and materials in preparation for small group instruction.
Establish a rapport with teenagers while staying goal oriented.
Invest in building habits and skills for success in math class.
Score and record exit assessments following each session.
Regularly review data for assigned students with the Math Coach.
Qualifications
Comfort with high school Algebra for 9th graders Algebra, including the following topics:
Solve multi-step linear equations. (HSA-REI.B.3)
Write linear expressions and equations that relate two quantities represented with variables (HSA-CED.A.2)
Understand a line as a collection of solutions (HSA-REI.D.10)
Graph a line from an equation given in slope-intercept form or in standard form (HSF-IF.C.7a)
Interpret the parameters (slope, y-intercept) of a linear function (HSA-SSE.A.1)
Use function notation, evaluate functions, and interpret function statements (HSF-IF.A.2)
Identify and interpret key features of graphs (HSF-BF.B.4)
Write exponential expressions that relate two quantities (HSF-LE.A.2)
