BASIS Ed Texas is seeking a qualified Algebra 2 and Calculus Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction aligned to BASIS Curriculum across Texas charter schools. The role emphasizes engaging, higher-level content and active student participation.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in the subject area (or equivalent), IVP fingerprint clearance, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Preferred candidates hold a Master’s degree and 2+ years of teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in subject matter (or 24+ credit hours with another degree).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and facilitate subject and grade specific lesson plans.
• Provide instruction at a level higher than grade-standard in an interactive setting.
• Implement BASIS Curriculum with engaging lessons and assessments.
• Collaborate with BASIS Curriculum teachers to develop curriculum and build a professional community.
• Tutor students in content-specific knowledge and skills to boost academic trajectory.
• Manage student behavior to foster achievement and responsibility.
• Support non-instructional duties such as Early Bird/Late Bird and lunch.
• Maintain regular attendance and supervise students.
