Job summary

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board seeks an Alcohol Education Specialist to help design, implement and evaluate responsible drinking programs across Pennsylvania. You’ll collaborate with organizations on planning, trainings, and grant management, using evidence to inform materials and initiatives.

You will engage with communities, provide technical assistance, monitor grant objectives, and support fiscal accountability. Telework options may apply, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Alcohol Education Specialist Trainee program; or
• One year of professional teaching, classroom instruction, or formal training experience; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes one year of professional teaching, classroom instruction, or formal training experience.

Responsibilities

• Program Support: assist organizations with planning, improving, and owning alcohol education programs.
• Stakeholder Communication: provide technical assistance for grant services and requirements.
• Community Engagement: deliver training, workshops and strategic planning to build capacity.
• Grant Process Oversight: review contracts, set objectives, conduct site visits.
• Fiscal Accountability: monitor grantee expenditures and budget projections.
• Educational Materials Management: create and revise materials based on scholarly research; coordinate orders.
