Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Forklift certification and/or Hazardous Materials certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight safely from various types of vehicles.
• Move freight, materials, and inventory within the warehouse, yard, and staging areas.
• Tag, label, and mark freight with appropriate identifying information.
• Verify freight against work orders and shipping documentation.
• Record quantities and units handled or moved.
• Load and properly secure flatbed freight.
• Ensure loads comply with water restriction and transportation requirements.
• Assist customers by phone and in person in a courteous, professional manner.
• Communicate clearly with coworkers and supervisors regarding work assignments.
• Support other departments and team members as needed.
• Consistently follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform basic inspection, cleaning, and minor maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment.
• Use proper lifting techniques and material-handling equipment at all times.
• Accurately complete required paperwork and documentation.
• Read work orders or follow verbal instructions to determine assignments and equipment needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support operations
