Job summary

Alyeska Resort in Girdwood, Alaska is seeking a Snow Groomer to maintain high-quality snow surfaces, ensuring safety and guest enjoyment through skilled operation of groomers and adherence to resort policies.

This position requires at least 2 years of grooming experience, mechanical aptitude, and the stamina to work outdoors in mountain conditions. You will collaborate with the mountain operations team, document procedures, and support peak-season coverage.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of grooming experience required.
• Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills for snow grooming machinery.
• Manual dexterity to use all tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate snow/slope grooming equipment to maintain high-quality slopes and trails.
• Communicate with supervisors and team members to ensure safety and quality.
• Assist senior groomers with SOPs and field procedures.
• Attend daily crew briefings and follow safety instructions.
• Document grooming logs and basic equipment maintenance tasks.
• Coordinate grooming activities with Mountain Operations and other teams.
• Perform pre/post-operation inspections and report issues to maintenance.
• Communicate clearly via two-way radio and assist with incident reporting.
