Job summary

Alaska Mountain Guides in Skagway is seeking a Rock Climbing/Zip Line Guide to lead guests on outdoor adventures from April through October, focusing on safety and education while delivering an engaging wilderness experience for cruise ship visitors.

You will be part of a small team, responsible for gear care, incident reporting, and maintaining high energy and professionalism. Training includes IWLS courses and site-specific safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Prior guiding, leadership, and tourism experience is helpful.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds repeatedly throughout each day.
• Must possess strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
• Must be comfortable speaking to large groups of people.
• Must be able to handle back-to-back tours throughout the day.
• Must be willing to obtain First Aid and CPR certifications (WFR/WEMT preferred).

Responsibilities

• Responsible for safety of up to twelve guests throughout the tour.
• Follow a strict daily schedule.
• Maintain gear, trail and staging areas; report incidents to Site Manager.
